The Things we do to wakeboard

success! we are soo excited to start the season!
snow, just exactly where we need to drive

yes, that is two saw horses, a piece of plywood, a stump, and a tire (can you say resourceful)

Last weekend Blair and I drove up to Sandpoint, ID to get the Malibu. It was up at Chad's cabin in a shed. We got up there and had to shovel snow to get to the shed. That didn't take long and we were well on our way to getting the boat out when disaster struck. Blair had to get the door high enough to get the tower out smoothly so in an effort to open it, it came of the tracks at the top. This is after we have spent 10 minutes just to pry it open. So we both stood on the boat, me with a piece of wood holding the door up, and Blair with a screw driver trying to jam the wheel back on the track. So that took a little while, then as we get the boat out and are trying to get the door closed, the wire gets all messed up. These are pictures of our efforts, trying to get it down, up, and every other which way.... But success we have the boat!!!

Snowboarding in April

At the Lodge
haha, I'm such an amatuer. This is only my 4th time going.
in another pick all of my weight is on my back legs (such a wakeboarder!!) its hard for me to get this whole snowboarding thing figured out!

Still smiling, this wasn't a bad crash, just a little cold

this it Kalle our niece. She is 2 and can ski like a champ. She kept telling our other brother-in-law who was just learning to ski like her. "watch Kalle, turn like Kalle". She always refers to herself in the 3rd person. its hilarious

Ok, This snow stuff has got to go! But I guess as long as its here, we'll make the best of it. We went snowboarding on the 5th and had a blast (other than my chest crushing, breath taking, head over heels crash). We went up to Sweitzer in Sandpoint Idaho and just boarded all day with some friends and family. We should be wakeboarding by now, but I guess we will have to wait a few weeks.

Blair was soo good and patient with me. I'm just learning so he went on the runs that I wanted to go on most of the time. Good husband!

Happy Birthday Blair!

some of our friends that joined us that night.
yes, he actually stuck his finger in the cake
Cake #1- Red velvet with cream cheese frosting
Emmy and Elyse helping uncle Blair

This is Elyse and Blair on his actual birthday (sunday)
Cake #2- Texas Sheet cake

Blair's birthday was April 6th and he turned 25!! Craziness. Anyway, I wanted to suprise him this year. so I threw a suprise party for him on saturday. I told him that he needed to go to the store for me and get some things for sunday. while he was gone I called his brother and asked him to call me and ask him to come over for something. So Chad called Blair and said that his family was sick and they needed some gatorade. Chad stalled him just long enough for everyone to arrive at our house. it was really fun! Blair got new waterski gloves, a bag for his wakeboard, a new white hurly hat, some shorts, and about 100 golf balls. It all turned out great!

AZ

We went to Arizona this last week for spring break and it was a blast. It was warm and we just hung out by the pool and shopped all week. can you believe I didn't take one picture the whole time we were there? well believe it, cause I didn't!!! Today we got up and I looked out side, and it was a blizzard. So it was a great welcome back for us!!! We were in 80 degree weather all week and come back to snow!!! ridiculous!
Two of my sisters-in-law are having babies and they both just found out they are having boys! can you believe it!? its boy season!!! Its great that Jared's wife is having another boy, someone needs to carry on the Hanson name!

indulging brooke

10 yrs ago: I was just 11, almost 12. I was in good old challis living at my grandparents because we were still building our house. I had all sorts a little buddies becky armbruster and I were pretty tight then, (I had just gotten to challis). I was friends with becky, amanda, brooke, kim, jamie and I hadn't really gotten tight yet I don't think. roger, michael, tyler, abe, brian, and tj were all my great guy buddies. Its funny because I stayed pretty close with almost all of them throughout highschool.
Things on my list of things to do today: nursing clinical at 6am, school project 3pm, pick out some furniture with Blair 5pm, and maybe make dinner, maybe!
3 of my bad habits: stressing is definetly #1, I always stress first and think later(sometimes good), it takes me days to fold the dang laundry! I let my mind race at night sometimes and tell Blair everything I have to do until he says sweetheart its going to be ok.(I guess that goes along with the stressing part)
Places I have lived: San Bernardino CA, good ole' Yankee Fork/Sunbeam ID, Challis ID, Stanley ID, Running Springs CA, Provo UT, and now I reside in Spokane WA (south hill)
Things most people don't know about me: I love to paint, I make cookies with my husband every week, I have 7 aggressive fish, I love shopping but can hardly ever get myself to buy something until I have wanted it and looked at it for a least a month, I love camping... there are probably a lot of other things, but that's a good list.

I want abby to do this!
